黃馨慧表示，「政策應延續性、豈能全盤否決！」BRT是新市府團隊上任後第一項震怒、停工項目，完全違背選舉時的「市政無縫接軌」承諾。想請問林佳龍：一、BRT工程預算有無挪用做「優化公車專用道」？二、龐大BRT資產設備如何處理？三、所謂「公車專用道」效益講不清楚？
民眾王先生拿出監察院函第一○四○七八○五五六號表示，台中市政府交通局明明知道BRT車站月台門等設施都已完工等待驗收，林佳龍卻還稱BRT為「弊案」並廢除改「優化公車專用道」。因此已向監察院舉發調查。
楊正中表示，大眾運輸是要「運輸最多的人、而不是最多的車」，BRT每日運量高達一萬人，現改「優化公車專用道」後每日公車要增加八百多班次，完全不符大眾運輸理念。廢BRT是政治決定，提升BRT才是專業理念。
交通局長王義川表示，對於市議員的建議與批評，市府都虛心接受！他強調，過去的BRT政策已經無法達到國際BRT標準，所以市府邀集各領域專家，籌組體檢小組，經過一至二個月不斷的開會，並分析各種可行方案，決定將BRT專用道革新為優化公車專用道，將比「半套式BRT」更好。
